Chapter 20

“Your alarm’s about to go off.” Fox whispered the words into the corner of Owen’s neck and the stubble on his jaw left a soft sting in its wake. There was an answering throb in Owen’s sac and his ass. Fox’s arm slid around and his hand spread across Owen’s chest, holding him tighter for just a moment.

“One more time?” Owen asked as he guided Fox’s hand lower. Fox pulled it away and turned Owen’s face so he could kiss him.

“I can’t. You’ve sucked everything out of me and you’re going to be dead on your feet.”

Neither of them had slept. They kissed and whispered as they explored each other’s bodies and sex went on and on until they were too tired to move. Fox would come and Owen would lick him clean and get lost in his ass. Owen had never been rimmed and he’d never had a chance to try it himself but he loved teasing Fox with his tongue. He loved the taste of Fox’s hole and the way he begged Owen’s name and thrashed on the bed. Owen had no choice but to climb right back into the saddle and ride that horse again.

And, Lord, Fox was as big as a horse. Owen was sure he’d be sore later but he didn’t care. He’d had one-night stands with men and couples and snuck out of The Grand or The Queen like a thief more times than he could count. Scampering down the halls and out through the kitchen before the morning shift started was a right of passage if you grew up in Bisbee. But Owen had never truly spent a night with someone or felt like he didn’t want it to end. He loved the way Fox’s feet felt as they rubbed against his and the soft huff of his breath against Owen’s neck and cheek.

He was too wound up to sleep and Owen couldn’t get over the fact that it had finally happened. And he couldn’t stop touching Fox. He loved the broadness of his chest and the silver and black hairs that trailed down his stomach. They made Owen’s lips tender and his cock hurt as he licked Fox’s forearms and thighs. His thighs. Owen rubbed his face all over them. He worshiped every inch of Fox, then cried as he admitted that he’d gotten scared at the coffee shop. Owen told Fox that he hated the idea of him in danger and was so glad he was done. Owen loved Fox because he was brave and had a good and loyal heart. But he would have been a nervous wreck if he’d fallen in love with Fox while he was still a working agent.

Fox explained that he dedicated himself to that life because he felt disposable, in a way. He went into the Army at seventeen after his mother died. He didn’t have any other family to turn to and he was too poor to pay for college. He was scared and alone but he found order and something he could belong to in the Army.
